“This is our one and only life. We need to make it what we want it to be.”

— Karen Glass

Episode 2 // Karen Glass

Karen Glass is a tattooer based out of Brooklyn, NY. In her studio space she gives off an aura of calm confidence and professionalism.

Karen has a unique talent of taking a client's tattoo vision and not only bringing it to life but making it better than you even imagined possible. She believes that tattooing is based on energy exchange between herself and her clients. She also believes that getting tattooed is extremely healing as they are not only markers of time, but a way to take ownership of your body. I have four tattoos from her, and can personally say that they were all amazing and magical experiences. She's a truly talented healer and artist.

“You take what joy is there, and like a seed, you grow it.”

— Julie Pasqual

Episode 3 // Julie Pasqual

Julie Pasqual is a Hospital Clown for Healthy Humor, visiting sick and injured children at Harlem Hospital.

She is also a yoga teacher, a storyteller, a dancer and someone who is truly living her calling. I met Julie a while back at the beginning of my own journey at The Bhakti Center, a spiritual home in the middle of the East Village. Julie shows us what it's like when you start listening to your heart and tuning out all the other voices. She also reminds us that laughter is good medicine and that spreading JOY is always possible.

“It’s all just me trying to find my way home.”

— Bakara Wintner

Episode 4 // Bakara Wintner

Bakara is a gifted tarot reader and author of “WTF is Tarot? And How Do I Do It?”, as well as the owner and head witch in charge of Everyday Magic, a crystal shop and all around healing house in North Carolina.

What does it mean to be a witch? Bakara takes us along her path of origin and transformation. We spoke about truth, being yourself and coming to terms with embracing our personal human evolution, no matter how messy it gets.

What strikes me the most about Bakara is her ability to speak so clearly and truthfully about her path, where she came from and where she is heading. I think it’s her commitment to her own personal truth that creates her aura of inner strength and genuine character.
